Aura

Aura is a sculptural research work that questions the full, approaching by its outline, its envelope. The material is woven and gives life to the volume.   The imitation of the living – and especially “climbing” plants – is at the center of the reflection.

Plant development and evolution processes are analyzed, then translated into procedures and physical constraints by computer science.   New technologies and mainly 3D printing allow new ways to understand the subject. 

Its poetic and narrative dimension could make us forget the complex technique developed for the emergence of these forms from an almost reassuring elsewhere.
